Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine, a singer-composer well-known for his distinct mixture of soul gospel, R&B and R&B. Avery Sunshine has appeared on Broadway and in festivals throughout Europe. She has also performed at the Democratic National Convention. Sunshine has been born Denise White. She is now a resident of Atlanta her birthplace was Chester Pennsylvania. Her musical journey began in the church, where she sang as well as performed piano. She attended Spellman College and began to study the R&B style of Atlanta. The Fighting Temptations The first single with her vocals was Stalk You a house 12 issued exclusively in Japan; it was later remixed by a variety of producers and has become the mainstay of her live set. Also, she contributed to The Fighting Temptations soundtrack. She took on the role of primary keyboardist at Tyler Perry's stage production Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday, who won Tony and Grammy Awards for her singing and her music, invited Sunshine to sing in the Dreamgirls production during the Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine was brought to the attention of the nation during 4 performances a day during the 2008 Democratic National Convention. Sunshine then went on to be requested to sing with the President Barack Obama at his inauguration.
