Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell, an American TV chef and former Institute of Culinary Education instructor she is a popular TV host. She is host of Secrets of a Restaurant Chef at the Food Network. Her signature spiky blonde hair and her pumped-up appearance, Anne Burrell eliminates the intimidation of eating out and offers concise easy-to-master techniques for home cooks in her Food Network series Secrets of a Restaurant Chef. Chef Burrell was employed for a time in New York at top restaurants as well as studied Italian cuisine traditions and environment. Also, she was a contestant on Iron Chef America on Food Network. Burrell was born within New York State's Upstate, discovered a love of cooking. The Culinary Institute of America was the next step for her after she graduated with the Bachelor of Arts in English and Communication from Canisius College Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America was an amazing experience for me. I could not study or accomplish enough. After graduating, Burrell spent one year learning in the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners and working in the Umbrian restaurant La Taverna del Lupo as in Tuscany's La Bottega del 30, a Michelin-starred restaurant. It was during this time that her experience in Italy allowed her to comprehend and appreciate Italian way of life and its culture and this has left an impact on her own food and culinary experience. Burrell serves on the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that brightens up the lives of struggling children. She also is a Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Celebrity Advocate, where she has a mission to raise awareness for the condition of children with diabetes. As an inspirational speaker, she travels across the nation to talk about her love of food as well as her career in the culinary field. In her journey to culinary excellence, Anne often says that she feels so lucky to be able to share my passion for life with people.
