Kim Delaney (born Kim Delaney) is an American actor best well-known for her character of detective Diane Russell in ABCs NYPD Blue, for which she won an Emmy Award. Kim Delaney has been renowned as the character Detective Diane Russell on the ABC series NYPD Blue. She also appeared on the drama series All My Children Philly, CSI: Miami, and Army Wives. Delaney was the only girl from her mom who was a homemaker as well as a an executive in the United Auto Workers. Delaney lived most of her life with 4 brothers. As a child, she dreamt of being an official in the courtroom. However, after graduating from high school, and moving in New York in the 1980s and began to model, she was hooked. In 1981, she starred as an innocent teenager in the film All My Children. Since then, Delaney has been in a variety of film and television dramas. The professional life she has had is better than her personal life. In the past, this gifted actress was struggling to overcome the effects of alcohol and two marriages that failed. In 2005, she lost custody of the only child she had.
